To ensure the highest quality standards in defense and complex industrial projects, different Allied Quality Assurance Publications (AQAP) are applied depending on the identified quality risk and contract complexity. Below is a brief overview of key AQAPs:
-
AQAP 2110
Based on ISO 9001, this standard includes additional NATO-specific requirements to ensure comprehensive quality assurance throughout the production process. -
AQAP 2131
Focuses on the procedures for final inspections and tests, ensuring that delivered items meet all contractual and regulatory requirements. -
AQAP 2105
Typically included as a separate contract element, this standard outlines the contractor’s obligation to provide a detailed quality plan tailored to the specific project. -
AQAP 2210
Supplements AQAP 2110 and AQAP 2310 with quality assurance requirements specific to software development and integration. -
AQAP 2310
Designed for service providers involved in complex projects within the aviation, space, and defense sectors. It builds on the EN 9100 standard and includes additional NATO requirements.
